An optional add-on to CompassReports provides customizable Alerts. These vary depending on the clients' specific needs.

CompassCom's software solution includes the compiling of data into categories that make up the most common reports (such as speeding) so that when you run a report you receive the information in minutes – even though the database itself has gathered hundreds of thousands of lines of data over the course of a day.

Using CompassReports, these standard compilations bring crucial information for measurement and control of your fleet to your attention as you need.

But, when an emergency strikes, waiting until the report is produced is insufficient. Using Alerts, managers can set up the system to send an e-mail or SMS text the moment certain criteria is met. For example: an alert may be triggered when a vehicle has sped X mph for X amount of time. Or, using another standard report category, an alert may be sent if a vehicle is on idle for longer than a pre-set time, such as an hour.

Alerts can also be triggered to a specific input, such as a panic button. If such an alert comes in, dispatch could immediately send assistance to the exact location where the button was pressed, without the driver having to say a word.

Stolen vehicle alerts can trigger if a vehicle or heavy asset leaves a geofenced area.
